And we're in the midst of one of the most bizarre weeks I can ever remember. For starters, Philadelphia is home to a world champion for the first time since the early 80s. Speaking for myself, that's pretty much the span of my sports-viewing lifetime.
And beyond that, the American people are on the brink if making history. That's right, for the first time in our lifetime, the people are poised to elect a Democratic President that doesn't hail from the confederacy.
Combined with our launch at or around midnight tonight, it makes for a pretty busy weekend here at shirt be with you. After all, along with Drinking and Midgets and Canadians, Sports and Politics are our biggest passions.
We congratulate the city of Philadelphia on a long-deserved title, and we look forward to issuing a similar congratulations as soon as the Virginia polls close on Tuesday.
